Independent Movie “Inception” Receives Wide Range of Reviews

The recently released somewhat independent movie "Inception" has brought with a strange paradox in reviews. I recently read an article comparing the reviews that were released during the screening period a few weeks ago, compared with reviews that are coming down now that the film has been released to general audiences.
Aparently bloggers and other critics who were able to view the film before its release date through special screens appeared to be amazed and awestruck. Comparisons were made between this Christopher Nolan film and Alfred Hitchcock's "Vertigo". Everyone was wild one for it and some even claimed it was the best movie of the year, kind of silly anyway seeing as to how its only July and so far the big films of this year have been Twilight and Toy Story 3.
At any rate, once the movie came out the reviews shifted. After reading the article I did some research and discovered how true this was. After the move came out reviews weren't bad, but they made it seem rather mediocre and overly-hyped.
So now I am trying to figure out if I shoud spend the money to watch it or not.
